Researchers from the MIT started to leverage advanced technologies and neuroscience insights to develop AI systems that can “see” like humans. Studying the complex neural processes of the visual cortex helped scientists aim to replicate the human visual system in AI algorithms, enabling machines to understand and interpret visual information with greater accuracy and depth.
It is very exciting to see the possibilities that emerge from the convergence of AI and neuroscience, enabling machines to perceive and interpret visual data in a more human-like manner!
